Risk Warning

Things you should know.

Cross-border payments and FX carry risks. We don't paper over them. Read this before using our broker service or relying on any quote we share.

Exchange rate volatility

Currency exchange rates move continuously during market hours. Indicative quotes shared by SwiftSend or by a supplier are valid only at the moment they are issued. The rate you ultimately receive when you contract directly with a supplier may differ — sometimes materially — from any indicative rate previously shown.

SwiftSend does not guarantee any rate. No rate is locked until you contract directly with a supplier and that supplier confirms execution.

Quote timing

The brokerage process introduces a time gap between (i) you submitting a brief, (ii) us sourcing supplier quotes, and (iii) you accepting and contracting with the supplier. During this gap, market rates can move. Volatile or thinly-traded currency pairs can move significantly within minutes.

Settlement timing

The time taken for the supplier to execute and settle a payment varies based on: the supplier's operational hours and rails, the receiving country's banking system, intermediary banks, regulatory checks, weekends and public holidays, and the receiving bank's processing windows. Estimated settlement times provided by SwiftSend or the supplier are indicative only and not guaranteed.

Country and corridor risk

Some corridors carry country-specific risks — currency controls, central bank restrictions, sanctions, payout method limitations, or compliance hurdles. SwiftSend will indicate where a corridor is known to carry such risks, but cannot guarantee that any specific corridor will be available at the time of execution. Suppliers may decline to execute on the basis of their own risk policies.

Supplier risk

The supplier you contract with executes the payment under its own regulatory permissions. The supplier — not SwiftSend — bears the responsibility for safeguarding your funds, executing the transaction, and meeting its own regulatory obligations. If a supplier becomes unable to perform (insolvency, regulatory action, operational failure), SwiftSend is not the counterparty and is not financially liable for the supplier's performance.

The protection available to you depends on the supplier's regulatory status and jurisdiction. SwiftSend will tell you the supplier's status and key protections at point of introduction, but you should also verify directly.

No advice — informational only

Nothing on this website, in any quote SwiftSend shares, or in any conversation with a SwiftSend broker, constitutes regulated financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to provide advice. If you require advice on material decisions involving currency exposure, consult a qualified independent professional.

Past performance

Any references to past corridor performance, historical rates, supplier turnaround times, or volume statistics are illustrative only. Past performance is not indicative of future outcomes.

Acknowledgement

By using SwiftSend's broker service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Risk Warning. SwiftSend's role is to introduce, not to execute, and the risks of execution sit with the supplier you choose to transact with.
